Recent studies have evaluated the use of AI clients (e.g., ChatGPT) by members of a User Interface Design Team.
Study results indicate that such clients can be very effective in design research and execution (e.g., the definition of personas and test scenarios). Skeptics raise the usual AI- related concerns such as theft of creative material and potential job loss.
This talk will explore the roles that AI clients could potentially play in a User Interface Support Design Team either as a full team member or as a research and design collaborator in order attain a successful and innovative team result.

As product leaders of software product companies, we own possibly the most important and arguably the most difficult task of setting and delivering on the product vision and strategy.
The setting of the vision and strategy is the relatively easy part. Everyone will tell you how to write these two important artefacts and there is a ton of guidance out there on what you need to consider in their formulation. There are many different models, templates, canvases and diagrams in the literature, but few tackle the reasons why product strategies often get left on the shelf to gather dust or rapidly deteriorate under the pressure of the daily grind. And even fewer still, in my experience, address how they can be nurtured to support how you deliver and operate your product in practice.
In this session, I’d like to share the approach I’m taking to making product strategy something more than just a roadmap or a good idea that remains on paper. It needs to be a living breathing galvanising entity that can be used to unify and provide guidance to all areas of our business, to prioritise incoming product requests, and to communicate the value of our product to internal and external stakeholders alike.

Is "this sound like GPT" more of an insult than a compliment?
This session was (among other things) inspired by the vibe at last year's Aarhus conference, where I got the sense, it was more of an insult.
Join this session for a (very brief) introduction on the theoretical background of LLM-based "Agents", and then we'll dive into how to wire the up to your custom knowledge bases and tools to overcome the restriction that LLMs "just know what they were trained on",
Tobi will also give a few examples on how you might want to use that technology creatively to integrate it into your daily workflow.
Finally, we'll do an open discussion on what you have experienced, and where we can go with modern LLM's in 2025.

There's something happening with search at the moment and in this session we will look closer at this trend and find out what it means for you as we are approaching 2025.
We'll start by hearing from Chris and Landfolk. They've been live with their dreamy search for about a month now and Chris will share why they've chosen to implement a way to do natural language search and what technical challenges they faced. He will also reveal what is in the pipeline for now and the near future and what other uses we have for this technology on our platform.
Using natural language as a way to search has lots of interesting challenges which as regular search faceted/filter UI doesn't face, e.g. a search like "charming thatched pool house in Skagen where I can bring my dog and the wifi is great" poses some interesting issues for what the user would expect to see and if we add something like "...which is available in the summer" to the query, it makes everything even more complicated as "summer" is totally dependent on where you're from (i.e. the summer holiday is not the same across Europe).
