Serious games, as opposed to say entertainment games, have an added imperative to infuse learning content along with game and engagement content.
Rajiv is an experienced serious game designer & innovator and has taken up the challenge – where instead of dumbing down content, he focuses on leveling up the players ability to navigate complexity more effectively!
Using a systems thinking context, he has pioneered novel approaches to simulating real-world complexity in serious games that are as relevant in the corporate board room as the educational classroom.
He often use games and gamification (gamification being separate from games) as a tool to overcome tough pedagogical challenges or to scale complexity of tough-to-teach topics.
Using cases from games that he has designed (includes board games, digital games, escape room games and process gamification examples), he will share the rewards and challenges of content scaling in the serious game design process.
In doing so – you will also see innovation in action and learn how to apply such approaches and thinking to your own processes and context!
